Reinstalling the Top Rack to a Dishwasher

To make the most of the space in your dishwasher, the appliance comes with two racks. The racks are installed one above the other, and are designed to hold your dishes during the wash cycle. The top rack has a sprayer located on the underside of the rack that sprays the dishes on the top rack with water. In the event that the sprayer or one of the rack wheels is damaged, you must remove the rack for repair. After the repairs are made, it is important to properly reinstall the rack to ensure that the rack is able to support the weight of the dishes.

Instructions

    • 1

Open the dishwasher door, and then fully extend the rack slides so that they are outside of the dishwasher interior.

    • 2

Align the rear rollers of the upper rack so that they enter the roller channels on the slides.

    • 3

Insert the rack further into the roller channels, and then insert the front rollers into the roller channels.

    • 4

Push the dishwasher rack fully into the dishwasher, and then pull the slides out slightly so that the end is accessible.

    • 5

Install the end caps onto the end of the slides. In some cases, the rack stops have a tab that must be bent back so that the cap can be inserted from the inside of the slide, and on other dishwasher models, the rack stops snap onto the end of the slides from the top.

    • 6

Push the dishwasher rack and slides fully into the dishwasher.
