Removing Algae and Mildew Stains From a Hammock

Hammocks are prone to accumulating algae and mildew due to exposure from the harsh, outdoor elements. While there are various cleaning techniques to remove stains, the best approach to cleaning a hammock is to bring it indoors during wind and rain storms. If the hammock has been exposed to the elements and develops algae and mildew, removal usually involves using common household items, such as liquid dish soap, to effectively clean the moldy stains.
