Removing Caked-On Turmeric Stains From Cabinets

Turmeric is a yellow spice commonly found in Indian curries and rice dishes. Turmeric naturally contains a yellow dye similar to mustard that can stain counters, plastic dishes or cabinets. There are effective methods of stain removal of turmeric, but dealing with caked-on turmeric makes the job more difficult. Other considerations when removing the stain include the cabinet material and the color or pattern. Some stains might not come out, even with the most diligent of attempts.
