Instructions

    • 1

Press a paper towel into the turmeric stain to remove as much as possible. Discard the soiled towel and repeat until no more turmeric transfers to the towel.

    • 2
Dishwashing detergent safely cleans stained walls.

Place 1 tablespoon of dishwashing detergent and 1 teaspoon of rubbing alcohol in a bowl. Stir the two ingredients together to make a stain removal solution.

    • 3
A sponge won't scratch walls while you clean them.

Dip a sponge in the detergent mixture. Sponge the remaining turmeric stain to wet it with the solution. Do not scrub. Allow the detergent and rubbing alcohol mixture to sit on the wall surface for 10 minutes.

    • 4

Blot the wall with a dry cloth to lift the detergent mixture and turmeric stain. Move to a clean part of the cloth as you remove the stain.

    • 5

Pour a quarter-sized amount of glycerin on a clean, dry cloth to treat any remaining turmeric stain. Blot the surface of the wall until the yellow stain is gone.

    • 6

Remove the oily glycerin residue by blotting the wall with the detergent mixture. Rinse the wall with a damp cloth and pat dry with another cloth.
