How to Use a Shark Floor Steamer

The Shark S3101 Steam Mop uses steam and a microfiber pad to loosen dirt and clean hardwood, laminate and tile floors. Once the pad is attached and the mop is filled with water using the included funnel and filling flask, the unit is ready. Since the mop uses steam, no chemicals or other cleaning agents are required, so it is a more environmentally friendly cleaning machine.

Instructions

    • 1

Make sure the unit is not plugged in before attaching the microfiber pad and filling the mop's water tank.

    • 2

Attach a microfiber pad to the mop head using the hook and latch strips.

    • 3

Unscrew the cap to the mop's water tank by turning it counterclockwise.

    • 4

Insert the funnel into the water tank's opening. Fill the filling flask with water or distilled water. Replace the cap.

    • 5

Plug in the mop and turn it on. The unit may need up to 30 seconds to warm up and generate steam. If this is the first time the mop is being used, it may take longer.

    • 6

Squeeze the handle a few times to release steam and dampen the pad.

    • 7

Clean the floor using a forward-and-back motion.

    • 8

Unplug the mop and refill the water tank once it is empty, if necessary.

    • 9

Allow the microfiber pad to cool and remove it before storing the mop.
