  • Ice chest
  • Ice cubes or dry ice
  • Bucket
  • Baking soda

      Remove the spoiled meat and discard it immediately in an outside receptacle.

      Fill an ice chest with ice cubes place a ¼-lb chunk of dry ice into the bottom covered by a piece of newspaper or cardboard.

      Transfer the food from the freezer to the ice chest to keep it cold until the freezer is cleaned.

      Add 1-cup of baking soda to a bucket of warm water.

      Wash the inside of the freezer with the solution and thick sponge or soft cloth.

      Leave the freezer door open for 10 to 15 minutes to allow it to dry and air out.

      Place the food back into the freezer when the odor is gone.
