How to Remove Gasoline Odor From a Carpet

  • Baking Soda Powder
  • Pinesol

      First of all, Gasoline is an acidic petroleum base. So the problem needs to be met at that level.

      Break the acidity down by rubbing Powdered Baking Soda into the carpet. Wet lightly and rub it in some more. Let dry and vacuum. Repeat about 3 times.

      Spray the spot down with Pinsol, briskly brush it deep into the fibers to break up the petroleum. Let it set for an hour and blot dry it with a towel. Repeat as often as necessary.
