Instructions

    • 1

Make sure the temperature of the room you will be installing your Legato carpet tiles in is between 60 and 90 degrees F. The tiles will install better if they are stored in a temperature-controlled room prior to installation.

    • 2

Clean and dry the floor before installing your Legato carpet tiles. Whether your flooring is vinyl, tile or some other material--as long as there are no surface cracks or holes, the carpet tiles will lie with no problems. Remove all tack strips.

    • 3

Find a starting point. Measure out from each wall 1 foot and place a mark. Begin laying your Legato carpet tiles inside the perimeter measurement of the room. Keep the work area clean as you go by using a dust buster.

    • 4

Interlock the Legato carpet tiles together until the entire floor is covered, except for the foot around the perimeter. Make sure that all the edges are tight against one another but not too tight or they'll pop up.

    • 5

Check out the arrows on the back of each carpet tile to ensure all the panels are installed going in the right direction. The edges interlock, and the non-slip backing secures the carpet to the floor.

    • 6

Fill in the 1-foot edge around the room with Legato carpet tiles cut to size. Use a sharp utility knife to cut the panels so they interlock at the wavy edge and butt up against the wall.
