What Is a Gratinata Sauce?

Gratinata sauce is often used as a topping on vegetables or seafood before being baked.

You can make gratinata sauce with ingredients you probably either have on hand or easy to find in the grocery store.

Ingredients:

* 3 tablespoons melted unsalted butter

* 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour

* 1 3/4 cups of milk

* 1 cup grated parmesan cheese

* Salt

* Pepper

* Paprika

* Dried Thyme

Instructions:

1. Melt butter over low heat in a saucepan.

2. Blend in flour and mix well.

3. Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly.

4. Bring mixture to just below boiling temperature while continuing to stir.

5. Reduce heat and simmer for 1 minute, or until sauce has thickened.

6. Remove sauce from heat and add cheese.

7. Stir until cheese is melted and well incorporated.

8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

9. Sprinkle in some dried thyme and paprika for added flavor.

Your gratinata sauce is now ready to use. Enjoy!
