Ingredients:
- 4-6 medium-sized potatoes, scrubbed clean
- 1 cup of water
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- Optional toppings: butter, sour cream, cheese, chives, bacon bits, etc.
Instructions:
1. Wash and scrub the potatoes thoroughly to remove any dirt.
2. Poke a few holes in each potato with a fork to allow steam to escape during cooking.
3. Place the potatoes in the inner pot of the Instant Pot.
4. Add 1 cup of water, olive oil, and salt to the pot.
5. Close the lid of the Instant Pot and set the pressure valve to "Sealing."
6. Select the "Manual" or "Pressure Cook" setting and set the cooking time for 15 minutes.
7. Once the cooking time is complete, allow the pressure to release naturally for 10 minutes, then carefully release any remaining pressure manually.
8. Open the lid and check if the potatoes are tender. If they are not, cook them for a few more minutes.
9. Serve the baked potatoes immediately with your desired toppings.
Tips:
- You can add any desired herbs or spices to the water for extra flavor.
- For crispier skin, brush the potatoes with olive oil before cooking.
- If you want to make mashed potatoes, simply mash the cooked potatoes with butter, milk, and any other desired ingredients.
