How to Make Bread Stuffing

Bread stuffing is a classic side dish that can be enjoyed with a variety of main courses. It is made by combining bread cubes with other ingredients, such as vegetables, herbs, and spices. Bread stuffing can be baked in the oven or cooked on the stovetop.

Here is a basic recipe for bread stuffing:

Ingredients:

1 loaf of French bread, cut into 1-inch cubes

1 cup of chopped celery

1 cup of chopped onion

1 cup of chopped carrots

1/2 cup of chopped fresh parsley

1/4 cup of melted butter

1 teaspoon of salt

1/2 teaspoon of black pepper

1/4 teaspoon of dried sage

1/4 teaspoon of dried thyme

1/2 cup of chicken broth

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.

2. In a large bowl, combine the bread cubes, celery, onion, carrots, parsley, butter, salt, pepper, sage, and thyme.

3. Stir until the bread cubes are evenly coated with the butter and seasonings.

4. Add the chicken broth and mix until the bread cubes are moistened.

5. Transfer the stuffing to a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.

6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the stuffing is golden brown and heated through.

Bread stuffing can be served immediately, or it can be made ahead of time and refrigerated. To reheat, simply cover the stuffing with foil and bake in a 350 degree Fahrenheit oven for 15-20 minutes, or until heated through.
