Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
1. Remove the crusts from the bread slices. This is optional, but it will make for a finer and more even stuffing texture.
2. Cut the bread into small, 1/2-inch cubes.
3. Spread the bread cubes in a single layer on a sheet pan.
4. Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the bread cubes are golden brown and dry to the touch.
5. Remove the bread cubes from the oven and set aside to cool before using in stuffing.
Tips:
- To make sure that the bread cubes toast evenly, toss them with a little bit of olive oil before spreading them on the sheet pan.
- If you don't want to use your oven, you can also toast the bread cubes in a toaster oven or on the stovetop in a skillet over medium heat.
- You can also use a variety of different types of bread for stuffing, such as white bread, wheat bread, sourdough bread, or even gluten-free bread.
