Choose a pumpkin that is sturdy and about the size of your head. Avoid pumpkins that have soft spots or cracks.
Step 2: Prepare the Pumpkin
1. Wash the pumpkin thoroughly to remove any dirt or debris.
2. Cut off the top of the pumpkin, about 1/3 of the way down.
3. Remove the seeds and pulp from the pumpkin, using a spoon or an ice cream scoop.
4. Scrape the inside of the pumpkin to make it smooth.
Step 3: Cook the Soup
Prepare your favorite soup recipe according to the instructions.
Step 4: Fill the Pumpkin with Soup
Ladle the hot soup into the pumpkin, filling it to the brim.
Step 5: Serve the Soup
Place the pumpkin on a plate or serving dish, and serve immediately with your choice of toppings, such as croutons, crackers, or cheese.
Tip: To keep the soup warm, place a small candle or tea light inside the pumpkin before filling it with soup.
