Prepare a location in full sun, as reduced light will cause floppy, spindly growth. Prepare the soil by spading to a depth of 8 to 10 inches. Dig in 2 to 4 inches of organic matter such as compost or peat moss to improve soil drainage.
Dig a hole for each Casa Blanca lily bulb. Plant the bulb 6 to 7 inches deep, with the flat end of the bulb facing down. Plant the bulbs in groups of three to five bulbs for best effect. Space the bulbs 8 to 10 inches apart, with 3 to 5 feet between each group.
Water the Casa Blanca lily bulbs deeply immediately after planting. Place 4 to 6 inches of mulch, such as chopped leaves or pine needles, over the planting area after the first frost. Mulch will protect the bulbs during the winter. Remove the mulch after danger of hard freeze has passed in spring.
Fertilize Casa Blanca lilies when growth emerges in early spring and again when the blooms begin to open. Use a general purpose fertilizer or a fertilizer formulated for bulbs, applied according to the specifications on the label.
Allow the lily's foliage to remain in place when the lily is finished blooming in autumn, as the foliage will absorb the sun's energy, allowing the bulbs to produce blooms for the next year. Remove the foliage when it dies down and turns yellow.
