How to Eliminate Cigarette Smoke on Furniture

The odor of cigarette smoke does not disappear when you extinguish a cigarette. Its smoke settles into fibers, including your furniture’s upholstery. Airing out the room freshens the indoor air, yet it isn’t always sufficient to remove the smoke smell from your furniture. Shampooing the upholstery is one option; another is to use an odor-eating substance to remove the cigarette smoke.

Sprinkle baking soda over all the fabric surfaces of the furniture. Let it set for three hours.
