* Pliers

* Pipe Wrench

* Hacksaw

* Measuring Tape

* Level

* Pencil

* 2x4 Wood Block

* 1/2-inch Copper Pipe

* 1/2-inch PVC Pipe

* 1-1/2-inch PVC Pipe

* 3/4-inch PVC Pipe

* Slip Joint Nut

* Couplings

* Elbows

* Tees

* Drain

* Sink

* Pedestal

Instructions

1. Turn off the water supply. This is typically done by turning the main shut-off valve, which is usually located near the water heater.

2. Cut the water supply line. Use a hacksaw to cut the water supply line directly below where the new faucet will be installed. Be sure to leave enough pipe so that the supply line fitting will reach through the wall.

3. Install the valve body. Thread the valve body into the water supply line. Hand-tighten the valve body until it is snug, then use a wrench to tighten it an additional 1/4 turn.

4. Attach the copper tubing. Measure and cut the copper tubing to the desired length. Be sure to leave enough tubing so that it will reach from the valve body to the faucet. Attach the copper tubing to the valve body using compression fittings.

5. Install the drain pipe. Measure and cut the 1-1/2-inch PVC pipe to the desired length. Be sure to leave enough pipe so that it will reach from the drain hole in the sink to the drain in the wall. Attach the PVC pipe to the drain hole in the sink using a coupling. Attach the other end of the PVC pipe to the drain in the wall using a slip joint nut.

6. Attach the overflow tube. Measure and cut the 3/4-inch PVC pipe to the desired length. Be sure to leave enough pipe so that it will reach from the overflow hole in the sink to the overflow pipe in the wall. Attach the PVC pipe to the overflow hole in the sink using a coupling. Attach the other end of the PVC pipe to the overflow pipe in the wall using a slip joint nut.

7. Install the sink. Place the sink on the pedestal and align the drain holes. Insert the drain pipe into the drain hole in the sink and secure it in place with the locknut. Attach the water supply lines to the faucet valves.

8. Turn on the water supply. Slowly turn on the water supply and check for leaks. If you find any leaks, tighten the connections until the leaks stop.

Tips

* When measuring for the water supply lines, be sure to allow for the thickness of the wall.

* When installing the copper tubing, be sure to use a tubing bender to make smooth bends.

* When attaching the PVC pipes, be sure to use a PVC primer and cement.

* When installing the sink, be sure to level it before securing it in place.
