- Canvas (any size)
- Newspaper clippings
- Mod Podge
- Foam brush
- Scissors
- Water
- Bowl
Instructions:
1. Gather your materials.
2. Cut out the newspaper clippings you want to use. You can use any size or shape clippings.
3. Arrange the newspaper clippings on the canvas. You can overlap them or space them out, however you like.
4. Once you are happy with the arrangement, mix equal parts Mod Podge and water in a bowl.
5. Apply the Mod Podge mixture to the back of each newspaper clipping. Use a foam brush to spread the mixture evenly.
6. Press the newspaper clippings onto the canvas. Make sure to smooth out any wrinkles or bubbles.
7. Allow the Mod Podge mixture to dry completely before moving or hanging your canvas.
Tips:
- To create a more distressed look, you can tear the newspaper clippings instead of cutting them out.
- You can also use other types of paper for decoupage, such as scrapbook paper, wrapping paper, or fabric.
- If you want to seal the decoupage, you can apply a coat of clear spray paint or varnish.
Variations:
- Instead of using newspaper clippings, you can decoupage photos or postcards.
- You can also add other embellishments to your decoupaged canvas, such as glitter, beads, or ribbon.
- Be creative and have fun! Decoupage is a great way to personalize your home décor.
