How to Drill Glass

You will need:

* A glass drill bit with beveled edges

* Electric drill

* Safety goggles

* Water (spray bottle)

* Masking tape

* Pencil

* Ruler

* Marker (oil-based)

Step 2: Prepare the glass.

* First, clean the glass with a glass cleaner.

* Then, use masking tape to mark the spot where you want to drill the hole.

* Use a pencil and ruler to draw the outline of the hole on the glass.

* Apply a thin layer of oil to the area where you will drill the hole.

Step 3: Drill the hole.

* Put on your safety goggles.

* Secure the glass to a stable work surface.

* Use a glass drill bit with beveled edges in your electric drill.

* Place the drill bit in the center of the hole you marked on the glass.

* Start drilling slowly and gradually increase pressure as the drill bit cuts through the glass.

* Spray the glass with water from your spray bottle as you drill to help prevent it from overheating and cracking.

Step 4: Clean up.

* Once the hole is drilled, remove the masking tape.

* Clean the area with a glass cleaner and remove the oil with acetone.
