Place the adjustable window covers onto each side of the air conditioner housing and secure them with the supplied screws and a screwdriver. The adjustable covers are louvered plastic that extend in and out to create a tight fit between the sides of the windows and the sides of the air conditioner.
Pull the backing off the self-adhering weather stripping and place a strip on top of the air conditioner where the window will rest when installed. Do the same with the second piece of weather stripping and place in on the bottom edge.
Place the air conditioner into the window so the metal framing for the window covers rest inside the window. Close the window on top of the air conditioner. Have a second person support the back of the air conditioner from outside.
Place a Support T brace under the bottom of the air conditioner on the outside. This supports the weight of the air conditioner.
Stretch the window covers until they press up against the side of the window.
Place the filter into the filter housing located on the front panel of the air conditioner.
Plug the unit into a 220-volt electrical outlet. If you do not have one, consult an electrician to install one.
