Wind a length of two-inch red vinyl tape down the length of the mailbox post starting just under the mailbox. Ensure that there is about a two-inch space between your spirals of red tape by measuring with a ruler.
Wind the last spiral of red vinyl tape as close as possible to the bottom of the post.
Wind the white vinyl tape around the metal post in the gaps made by the red tape spiral. The white tape can overlap the red tape a bit if the gap is a little less than two inches.
Cut two lengths of red tape that are approximately the circumference of the post.
Place one length of red tape around the top of the post to hold the tape ends in place. Place the other length of tape around the bottom of the post to hold the tape ends in place.
Ensure that the metal posts that once held a fence in place are still firmly anchored. The posts still need to be firmly planted and upright.
Tie a helium balloon arch to each metal post with the arch's anchor ties near the tops of the posts.
Climb onto a ladder if you need to and adjust the shape of the helium balloon arch so that it is uniform and floats gracefully.
Fasten a matching flower arrangement to the front of each metal post with satin ribbon ties.
Thread two-feet lengths of wire through the supports on the backside of two flat matching metal sculptures.
Attach the metal sculptures to the front of each driveway post by wrapping the excess wire on the backside of the sculptures around the posts.
Adjust the sculptures so that they are as tight and straight as possible. Put on your safety glasses and gloves.
Heat up the soldering iron until it is hot enough to melt the solder. Use two to three inches of solder and a solder iron on each contact point between the wire and the driveway post to hold the sculptures firmly in place.
Turn off the soldering iron and cut any stray pieces of wire with wire snips.
