How to Cook a Delicious Steak on the Stove

Ingredients

- 1 flank steak (about 1 pound)

- 2 tablespoons olive oil

- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

- 1 teaspoon garlic powder

- 1 teaspoon onion powder

- 1 teaspoon salt

- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

1. Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat.

2. Add the olive oil to the skillet.

3. Season the steak with the Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

4. Place the steak in the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until cooked to your desired doneness.

5. Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Tips

- For a thicker steak, cook for an additional 1-2 minutes per side.

- To check for doneness, insert a meat thermometer into the thickest part of the steak. The internal temperature should be 135°F for rare, 145°F for medium-rare, 155°F for medium, and 165°F for well-done.

- Let the steak rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving. This will allow the juices to redistribute, resulting in a more tender and flavorful steak.
