How to Make Tomato & Mozzarella Tulips

Ingredients:

4 pounds ripe tomatoes

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup olive oil

1 tablespoon dried oregano

1 tablespoon minced fresh garlic

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 cup chopped fresh basil

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 400°F.

Core the tomatoes and cut them into 1-inch pieces.

In a large bowl, combine the tomatoes, salt, olive oil, oregano, garlic, and black pepper. Toss to coat.

Spread the tomatoes on a baking sheet and roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are softened and browned.

Remove the tomatoes from the oven and let them cool slightly.

Stir in the basil and Parmesan cheese.

Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Tips:

For a smoother sauce, blend the tomatoes in a food processor before roasting.

If you don't have fresh basil, you can use 1 teaspoon of dried basil.

You can also add other vegetables to the sauce, such as onions, peppers, or zucchini.

Tomato sauce is a versatile ingredient that can be used in a variety of dishes, such as pasta, pizza, and stews.
