How to Freeze Almonds & Walnuts

Almonds are a healthy and versatile food, but they can be expensive. Buying almonds in bulk and freezing them can help you save money and ensure that you always have some on hand.

To freeze almonds, follow these steps:

1. Place the almonds in a single layer on a baking sheet.

2. Freeze the almonds for 4-6 hours, or until they are firm.

3. Transfer the frozen almonds to a freezer-safe bag or container.

4. Seal the bag or container and label it with the date.

Frozen almonds will keep for up to 6 months.

When you're ready to use the frozen almonds, let them thaw at room temperature for 30-60 minutes. You can also toast the almonds in a skillet over medium heat until they are browned and fragrant.

Here are some tips for using frozen almonds:

* Add them to trail mix, granola, or yogurt.

* Use them as a topping for salads, soups, or desserts.

* Grind them into flour to use in baking.

* Make almond milk or almond butter.

Frozen almonds are a great way to save money and enjoy this healthy food all year long.
