• Cuban bread (1 loaf, cut into 4 equal pieces)
• Pork shoulder (1 pound, thinly sliced)
• Ham (1 pound, thinly sliced)
• Swiss cheese (1/2 pound, thinly sliced)
• Pickle relish (1/4 cup)
• Mustard (1/4 cup)
• Mayonnaise (1/4 cup)
Instructions:
1. In a large skillet over medium heat, sear the pork shoulder slices until browned on both sides. Set aside.
2. On one side of each piece of Cuban bread, spread a thin layer of pickle relish.
3. Top with a layer of ham, then a layer of pork shoulder, and then a layer of Swiss cheese.
4. Spread a thin layer of mustard and mayonnaise on the other side of each piece of bread.
5. Close the sandwiches and place them in a large skillet over medium heat.
6. Cook the sandwiches for 3-4 minutes per side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
7. Remove the sandwiches from the skillet and cut them in half before serving.
