An Easter cactus should be planted in a pot that's approximately 1 inch larger than the diameter of the plant itself. Easter cactus grows best if the roots are slightly cramped; a pot that's too large won't help growth.
The bottom of the pot should have drainage holes.
The cactus will need to be repotted as it grows. Any new pot should always be 1 inch larger than the diameter of the plant.
