How to Cut a Mirror With Curves

Step 1: Gather your materials

* Mirror

* Safety glasses

* Gloves

* Ruler

* Pencil

* Glass cutter

* Pliers

* Towel

* Water

* Sandpaper

Step 2: Prepare the mirror

1. Place the mirror on a flat, stable surface.

2. Cover the surface of the mirror with the towel.

3. Using the ruler and pencil, mark the areas of the mirror that you want to cut.

Step 3: Cut the mirror

1. Put on your safety glasses and gloves.

2. Hold the glass cutter in your hand like a pencil.

3. Apply pressure to the glass cutter and start to score the glass along the marked lines.

4. Continue to score the glass until you have cut all the way through.

Step 4: Snap the glass

1. Once the glass is cut, place the pliers over the score line.

2. Squeeze the pliers to snap the glass.

3. Be careful not to put too much pressure on the glass, as it may shatter.

Step 5: Remove the sharp edges

1. Use the sandpaper to smooth the edges of the cut glass.

2. Be sure to wear your safety glasses and gloves when sanding.

3. Sand until the edges are smooth to the touch.

Step 6: Clean the mirror

1. Use a damp cloth to clean the mirror.

2. Be sure to remove all of the loose glass shards.

Step 7: Inspect the mirror

1. Inspect the mirror to make sure that there are no cracks or chips.

2. If there are any cracks or chips, discard the mirror.

Tips:

* When scoring the glass, use long, smooth strokes.

* Do not apply too much pressure to the glass cutter, or it may break.

* If the glass does not snap cleanly, you can use a utility knife to score the glass again and then snap it.

* Be careful when handling the cut glass, as it may be sharp.
