Instructions
1. Rinse the persimmon under cold water.
2. Lay the persimmon on its side and use a knife to cut a thin slice off one end.
3. Holding the persimmon in your hand, with the cut end up, use the knife to make vertical cuts from the top to the bottom of the fruit, being careful not to cut all the way through.
4. Gently pull the skin of the persimmon away from the flesh and then peel it off completely, leaving only the flesh.
5. Use a paper towel to gently blot the persimmon to remove any excess moisture.
6. The persimmon is now ready to be eaten or used in a recipe.
Tips
* If you plan on eating the persimmon immediately, it's not necessary to peel it. You can simply rinse it, remove the top, and eat it with a spoon.
