How Do I Attach Mini-Turbine Heads to a Dyson DC-14?

The Dyson DC-14 cleaner head features a rotating brush bar, whose bristles dislodge dirt and dust from the cleaning surface. When confined areas, such as car interiors and stair steps, makes use of the cleaning head difficult, a mini-turbine head attaches to the DC-14 wand or hose to provide increased cleaning capability.

Instructions

    • 1

Attach the mini-turbine head to either the wand or hose. If selecting the hose, slide the wand out from the hose and set it aside. If choosing the wand, open the wand cap before sliding the wand up to its full length.

    • 2

Orient the mini-turbine head onto the cuff at the end of the Dyson DC-14 wand or hose.

    • 3

Press the mini-turbine head onto the hose or wand cuff. Rotate the mini-turbine head back and forth onto the cuff for a firm fit.

    • 4

Turn the Dyson DC-14 mini-turbine head over and look for a button that slides back and forth. Not all mini-turbine heads possess this feature. If the button is present, set it in the direction of the single mark.

    • 5

Turn the brush bar on the underside of the mini-turbine head on or off, depending on the type of cleaning desired. To disable the brush bar, locate the round button on the side of the mini-turbine head. Push the button in.
