How to Clean the Insoles of Shoes

2. Gently scrub the insoles with a soft brush. Use a soft-bristled brush, such as a toothbrush, to gently scrub the insoles. Be sure to get into all the nooks and crannies.

3. Sprinkle baking soda on the insoles. Once you've scrubbed the insoles, sprinkle them with baking soda. The baking soda will help to absorb any odors and dirt.

6. Rinse the insoles. After 15 minutes, rinse the insoles with water. Be sure to get all of the baking soda and vinegar off of the insoles.

7. Dry the insoles. Allow the insoles to air dry completely before putting them back into your shoes.

Method 2: Using a Mild Detergent

2. Fill a sink with warm water and add a mild detergent. Fill a sink with warm water and add a small amount of mild detergent. Be sure to use a detergent that is safe for use on the material of your insoles.

3. Immerse the insoles in the water. Submerge the insoles in the water and let them soak for 15 minutes.

4. Gently scrub the insoles with a soft brush. Use a soft-bristled brush to gently scrub the insoles. Be sure to get into all the nooks and crannies.

5. Rinse the insoles. After you've scrubbed the insoles, rinse them with water. Be sure to get all of the detergent off of the insoles.

6. Dry the insoles. Allow the insoles to air dry completely before putting them back into your shoes.

Additional Tips:

* If your insoles are heavily soiled, you may need to repeat either of these cleaning methods.

* If your insoles cannot be removed, you can use a damp cloth to clean them. Be sure to use a mild detergent and avoid scrubbing too vigorously.

* To keep your insoles from getting too dirty, you can spray them with a water-resistant sealant before wearing them for the first time.
