How to Sew With Wooly Nylon

## Materials

* Wooly nylon fabric

* Sewing machine

* Thread

* Scissors

* Pins

* Iron

* Pressing cloth

Instructions

1. Prepare the fabric. Wooly nylon is a stretchy fabric, so it's important to pre-wash and dry it before sewing to prevent it from shrinking. If the fabric is very wrinkled, you can also iron it on a low setting with a pressing cloth.

2. Cut out the pattern pieces. Lay the pattern pieces on the fabric and cut them out, making sure to add a 1/4-inch seam allowance around all edges.

3. Sew the pieces together. Start by sewing the shoulder seams together, then the side seams. Leave the sleeve and hem allowances open for now.

4. Attach the sleeves. Insert the sleeves into the armholes and sew them in place, making sure to match up the notches on the pattern pieces.

5. Hem the sleeves and bottom edge. Fold the sleeve and bottom edges under 1/4 inch and press. Fold them under again 1/4 inch and press again. Stitch the hems in place.

6. Finish the garment. Add any desired embellishments, such as buttons, appliques, or embroidery.

Tips

* When sewing with wooly nylon, use a sharp needle and a walking foot to prevent the fabric from slipping.

* If you're new to sewing with stretchy fabrics, it's a good idea to make a practice garment first to get the hang of it.

* Wooly nylon is a versatile fabric that can be used for a variety of projects, including sweaters, dresses, skirts, and pants.
