## How to Make an Industrial Wooden Lamp

Materials

* 1x4 pine boards (4 pieces, each 24 inches long)

* 2x4 pine boards (2 pieces, each 12 inches long)

* Lamp cord and socket

* Light bulb

Instructions

1. Cut the wood to size. The 1x4 pine boards should be cut to the following lengths: 4 pieces at 24 inches long. The 2x4 pine boards should be cut to the following lengths: 2 pieces at 12 inches long. The 1/2-inch plywood should be cut to a 12-inch square.

2. Assemble the lamp base. Glue and screw the 2x4 pine boards to the 1/2-inch plywood square. Make sure the 2x4s are flush with the edges of the plywood.

3. Attach the 1x4 pine boards to the lamp base. Glue and screw the 1x4 pine boards to the lamp base, spacing them evenly around the perimeter.

4. Sand the lamp. Once the lamp is assembled, sand it thoroughly with sandpaper to remove any rough edges.

5. Stain or paint the lamp (optional). If desired, you can stain or paint the lamp to match your desired look.

6. Install the lamp cord and socket. Follow the instructions included with your lamp cord and socket to install them.

7. Add a light bulb. Screw a light bulb into the socket.
