Instructions:
1. Preparation:
- Put on safety glasses and gloves to protect yourself.
- Remove all furniture and decorations near the wall mural.
2. Incise the Edges:
- Using a utility knife, make a shallow cut along the edges of the mural where it meets the wall and ceiling.
3. Wet the Mural:
- Fill a spray bottle with warm water and add a few drops of dish soap. Spray the entire wall mural with this solution and let it soak for 15-20 minutes.
4. Scrape the Edges:
- Using a putty knife, carefully start scraping the edges of the mural, separating it from the wall. Be gentle to avoid damaging the wall underneath.
5. Wet Again:
- Continue to spray the mural with the water and soap solution as you work to loosen the adhesive underneath.
6. Remove in Sections:
- As you scrape, the mural should begin to peel off in sections. Continue scraping until you have removed the entire mural.
7. Clean the Wall:
- Use a damp rag to clean any remaining glue residue on the wall.
- If the adhesive is stubborn, use a mixture of equal parts vinegar and water, and gently scrub the area until it comes off.
8. Dry the Wall:
- Let the wall dry completely before painting or applying any new wallpaper or décor.
