Instructions:
1. Prepare the block wall. Remove any loose mortar or debris. If the wall is very dry, wet it down with a hose.
2. Mix the parge. The mix should be made of 3 parts sand, 1 part lime, and 1 part Portland cement. Add enough water to make a thick paste.
3. Apply the first coat of parge. Use a trowel to apply the parge to the wall. Start at the bottom of the wall and work your way up. Press the parge into the joints between the blocks and make sure that it is evenly applied.
4. Let the first coat of parge dry. Allow the parge to dry for at least 24 hours.
5. Apply the second coat of parge. Repeat the steps above to apply the second coat of parge.
6. Let the second coat of parge dry. Allow the parge to dry for at least 48 hours before painting or sealing it.
Tips:
* When applying the parge, be sure to press it into the joints between the blocks and make sure that it is evenly applied.
* Allow the parge to dry completely before painting or sealing it.
* If you are using a sealant, be sure to apply it according to the manufacturer's instructions.
