* A large funnel or cone (at least 3 feet tall)
* A piece of clear plastic sheeting (at least 4 feet square)
* A roll of duct tape
* A pair of scissors
* A staple gun
* A piece of rope (at least 6 feet long)
* A piece of cardboard (at least 1 foot square)
* A can of spray paint (black or gray)
* A pair of gloves
* A dust mask
1. Prepare the funnel or cone. If the funnel or cone is made of paper or cardboard, you may need to reinforce it with duct tape.
2. Attach the plastic sheeting to the funnel or cone. Cut the plastic sheeting into a large square or rectangle. Then, use the duct tape to attach the plastic sheeting to the funnel or cone.
3. Create the wind sock. Cut the cardboard into a square. Then, use the staple gun to attach the cardboard to the bottom of the funnel or cone.
4. Paint the wind sock. Use the spray paint to paint the wind sock black or gray.
5. Attach the rope to the funnel or cone. Tie one end of the rope to the top of the funnel or cone. Then, tie the other end of the rope to a tree or other sturdy object.
6. Put on your gloves and dust mask. The dust mask will help you avoid inhaling the fumes from the spray paint.
7. Put on the costume. Stand in the middle of the plastic sheeting and hold the rope. The funnel or cone should be above your head.
8. Start spinning the rope. Spin the rope as fast as you can. The wind sock will start to spin and create the illusion of a tornado.
