How to Make a Tornado Shoebox Diorama

### Materials:

- Shoebox with lid

- White craft paper

- Blue craft paper

- Green construction paper

- Black sharpie

- White or clear glue

- Scissors

- Cotton balls

- Toothpicks

- Brown paint

- Paintbrush

Instructions:

1. Cover the inside and outside of the shoebox with blue craft paper.

2. Cut out a rectangular piece of white craft paper that is the same size as the bottom of the shoebox. Glue this paper to the inside bottom of the shoebox.

3. Cut out a long strip of green construction paper that is about 2 inches wide. Glue this paper to the inside of the shoebox around the top edge, creating a "sky" background.

4. Use a black sharpie to draw a tornado on the white paper. Make the tornado look twisted and windblown.

5. Glue cotton balls to the tornado to create a fluffy, 3D effect.

6. Paint the toothpicks brown and glue them to the bottom of the shoebox to create trees.

7. Add any other desired details to your diorama, such as houses, cars, or animals.

8. Close the shoebox and enjoy your tornado diorama!
