To take apart Moen 7650 faucet, follow these steps:

1. Assemble the Required Tools:

- Flat-head screwdriver

- Phillips-head screwdriver

- Adjustable wrench

- Pliers

2. Turn off the Water Supply:

- Locate the water supply valves under the sink or behind the faucet.

- Turn the valves clockwise to shut off the hot and cold water supply.

3. Disconnect the Supply Hoses:

- Use the adjustable wrench to loosen the nuts connecting the supply hoses to the faucet.

- Disconnect the hoses by hand and place them in a container to catch any dripping water.

4. Remove the Handle:

- Use the flat-head screwdriver to pry off the plastic cap covering the handle screw.

- Use the Phillips-head screwdriver to loosen the handle screw.

- Pull the faucet handle straight up to remove it.

5. Remove the Escutcheon:

- Use the flat-head screwdriver to pry off the plastic cap covering the escutcheon screws.

- Use the Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the escutcheon screws.

- Lift the escutcheon up to remove it.

6. Access the Cartridge:

- You'll see the faucet cartridge located behind the escutcheon.

7. Remove the Cartridge:

- Use the pliers to grasp the cartridge and turn it counterclockwise to loosen it.

- Pull the cartridge out of the faucet body.

8. Inspect and Replace:

- Inspect the cartridge for any damage or wear. If needed, replace it with a new Moen 1225 cartridge.

9. Reassemble:

- Insert the new cartridge into the faucet body and turn it clockwise to secure it.

- Reinstall the escutcheon and secure it with the screws.

- Reattach the faucet handle and secure it with the screw.

- Reconnect the supply hoses and tighten the nuts.

- Turn on the water supply and check for leaks.
