How To Rebuild a Glacier Bay Bathroom Faucet

## How to Rebuild a Glacier Bay Bathroom Faucet

Glacier Bay bathroom faucets are popular because they are affordable and stylish. However, like any other faucet, they can eventually start to leak or malfunction. If this happens, you may need to rebuild the faucet. Rebuilding a faucet is not a difficult task, but it does require some time and patience.

Here are the steps on how to rebuild a Glacier Bay bathroom faucet:

1. Turn off the water supply. There are usually two water supply lines under your sink. One is for hot water, and the other is for cold water. Use a wrench to turn both of the water supply lines off.

2. Remove the faucet handles. There are usually two faucet handles on a bathroom sink. To remove the faucet handles, simply unscrew them counterclockwise.

3. Remove the cartridge. The cartridge is located behind the faucet handles. To remove the cartridge, use a wrench to loosen the cartridge retaining nut. Once the cartridge retaining nut is loose, you can pull the cartridge out of the faucet body.

4. Inspect the cartridge. The cartridge is what controls the flow of water from the faucet. If the cartridge is damaged or worn out, it will need to be replaced.

5. Replace the cartridge. If the cartridge needs to be replaced, insert the new cartridge into the faucet body. Then, screw the cartridge retaining nut back on.

6. Reattach the faucet handles. Screw the faucet handles back onto the faucet body.

7. Turn on the water supply. Once the faucet handles are reattached, you can turn the water supply back on.

8. Test the faucet. Turn on the faucet and make sure that it is working properly. If the faucet is still leaking or malfunctioning, you may need to call a plumber.
