- Paper.
- Pencil and eraser.
- Black fine tip marker or pen.
- Watercolors.
- A water cup.
- Brushes.
- Using a pencil, draw a circle for the head. Make it centered on your paper.
- Draw a vertical line through the circle center.
- Draw a horizontal line through the center.
- Draw two small ovals above the guideline. These are the eyeballs.
- Just under the eyes, draw two small lines for eyebrows.
- Underneath the horizontal line, draw a “V” shape for the nose.
- Add a small arc above each eye for the upper eyelashes.
- On each eyeball, add another arc for the bottom eyelash.
- Inside each eyeball, draw a smaller circle for the pupil.
- On the guideline under the nose, draw a curved line with two peaks for the mouth.
- Draw the ear on either side of the head, centered with the guidelines.
- To the left and right of the eyes, draw curves connecting to the mouth line.
- Draw a curved line for the chin under the mouth line.
- Draw a few strokes for your hair and eyebrows.
- Add a small circle for the ear piercing.
- Draw a neck.
- Add a shirt outline using curved lines.
- Using your fine marker or pen, trace over your drawing.
- Paint your cartoon self-portrait using watercolors. Allow your layers of paint to dry between washes.
- After the paint dries completely, go back over any details with your fine tip marker.
- Your cartoon self-portrait is now complete.
