How to Thaw a Frozen Smoked Turkey

### To thaw a frozen smoked turkey, you will need:

  1. A large bowl or sink
  2. Cold water
  3. A thermometer

Instructions:

  1. Place the frozen turkey in a large bowl or sink. Fill the bowl or sink with cold water so that the turkey is completely submerged. Ensure the water is not warmer than 40 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Let the turkey thaw in the cold water for 30 minutes to 1 hour per pound. Check the temperature of the turkey with a thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the thigh. The turkey is thawed when it reaches an internal temperature of 40 degrees Fahrenheit.
  3. Change the water every 30 minutes to keep it cold. This will help to prevent the turkey from thawing unevenly.
  4. Once the turkey is thawed, cook it immediately. Do not refreeze the turkey, as this can compromise its safety and quality.
