How to Make a Model Gas Mask

* 2 empty 2-liter soda bottles

* 1 piece of clear plastic (such as a transparency sheet or a piece of plastic wrap)

* 2 rubber bands

* 1 piece of felt (optional)

* 1 pair of scissors

* 1 utility knife

* 1 hot glue gun

Instructions

1. Cut the bottoms off of the 2 soda bottles.

2. Cut a piece of clear plastic to fit over the opening of one of the soda bottles.

3. Secure the plastic to the bottle with a rubber band.

4. Cut a piece of felt (or another material) to fit over the other soda bottle.

5. Glue the felt to the bottle.

6. Connect the two bottles by attaching the rubber bands around the necks of the bottles.

Tips

* You can use any type of soda bottle for this project, but 2-liter bottles work best.

* If you don't have a piece of clear plastic, you can use a transparency sheet or a piece of plastic wrap.

* You can use any type of glue for this project, but hot glue works best.

* You can add other decorations to your gas mask, such as paint or stickers.
