How to Make Eggs in Toast (Toad the Hole)

## Ingredients

* 2 large eggs

* 2 slices of bread

* 1 tablespoon of butter

* Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Place a skillet over medium heat.

2. Butter one side of each slice of bread.

3. Place the slices of bread, buttered side down, in the skillet.

4. Crack an egg into the center of each slice of bread.

5. Season the eggs with salt and pepper to taste.

6. Cover the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the eggs are cooked through.

7. Serve immediately.

Tips

* To make sure the eggs cook evenly, use a fork to poke a few holes in the yolk of each egg.

* If you don't have a skillet, you can also make eggs in toast in the oven. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, then place the slices of bread, buttered side down, on a baking sheet. Crack an egg into the center of each slice of bread, season with salt and pepper, and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the eggs are cooked through.

* Eggs in toast is a great way to use up leftover bread. It's also a quick and easy breakfast or lunch option.
