Instructions

    • 1

Install the shutter hinges on the top and bottom of each shutter, using the screws that come with the hinge kit. Lay each one on a flat work surface and line them up with each corner. Drill pilot holes through each screw hole before screwing into place.

    • 2

Place one shutter in the window, holding it in place by sticking wood shims between the window and the shutter along the bottom, top and side. Make sure the hinges are facing the outer edge. Repeat the process with the other shutter, so both are held tight covering the window.

    • 3

Open the hinges so they touch the trim around the porch window. Drill pilot holes for the screws at the location of the hinge holes. Use a screwdriver to put the screws, which came with the shutter hinge kit, into place.

Remove the shims and open the shutters into position to complete the installation job.
