How to Keep Plaster of Paris From Sticking Mold

To prevent plaster of Paris from sticking mold:

1. Use a release agent. A release agent is a substance that helps to prevent materials from sticking to each other. There are many different types of release agents available, such as oil, wax, and silicone spray. Apply a thin coat of release agent to the mold before adding the plaster of Paris.

2. Wet the mold. Before adding the plaster of Paris, wet the mold with water. This will help to prevent the plaster from drying out too quickly and sticking to the mold.

3. Mix the plaster of Paris correctly. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for mixing plaster of Paris. If the plaster is too thick, it will be more likely to stick to the mold.

4. Pour the plaster of Paris slowly. Pour the plaster of Paris slowly and evenly into the mold. Avoid splashing the plaster, as this can cause air bubbles to form.

5. Tap the mold. Once you have poured the plaster of Paris into the mold, tap the mold gently to release any air bubbles.

6. Let the plaster of Paris dry completely. Allow the plaster of Paris to dry completely before removing it from the mold. If you remove the plaster too soon, it may be damaged.
