1. Wash and dry the sweatshirt.
2. Put the sweatshirt on and mark where you want the lace-up detail to be.
3. Remove the sweatshirt and add an additional inch mark all around the outline you made.
4. Cut along the marks.
5. Fold the edges of the cut fabric underneath by half an inch and iron them flat.
6. Pin the lace along the folded edge of the fabric, making sure that the right side of the lace is facing up.
7. Sew the lace in place, using a zigzag stitch.
8. Repeat steps 5-7 for the other side of the opening.
9. Lace up the sweatshirt with a piece of lace or ribbon.
- To make the lace-up detail more secure, you can also add a few stitches of thread through the holes in the lace.
- If you don't have a sewing machine, you can also sew the lace in place by hand.
- You can use any type of lace or ribbon for the lace-up detail.
