* Acrylic tube (I used a 2" diameter tube)
* Sandpaper (80-grit, 120-grit, and 220-grit)
* Water
* Polishing compound
* Buffing wheel (optional)
1. Cut the acrylic tube to the desired length.
2. Sand the tube with 80-grit sandpaper to remove any rough edges.
3. Wet-sand the tube with 120-grit sandpaper until the surface is smooth.
4. Wet-sand the tube with 220-grit sandpaper until the surface is glossy.
5. Apply a polishing compound to the tube and buff it with a buffing wheel until it is clear.
* To prevent the acrylic tube from fogging up, rinse it with water after sanding and before applying the polishing compound.
* If you do not have a buffing wheel, you can also polish the tube by hand with a soft cloth.
* Be careful not to overheat the acrylic tube when polishing it, as this can cause it to warp.
