  Find the model number and serial number. Look on the inside on the side walls or frame around the door opening if you have a newer model. For over-the-range models, peer on the bottom of the unit near the wall. Otherwise, check the back or bottom near the back.

  Go to the General Electric website for registering appliances to register online. Enter the requested information. Click on the "Set My Email Preferences." Subscribe to the desired email newsletters to get updates and information on extended warranties, accessories and parts for your microwave and recipes. Print out your registration information when complete and save for your records.

  Remove the product registration card from the owner's manual to register by mail. Write the requested information on the form. Copy the completed registration card before you mail it. Enter the mailing address on the card on an envelope. Place the card in the envelope and mail.
