How do I Remove the Plastic From the Door of a R410LW Sharp Microwave?

The Sharp R410LW microwave, like most other microwaves, usually comes with a plastic covering on the door and a sticker showing the features on the front. It can be frustrating to buy a nice, new appliance and have adhesive residue left on it when you try to peel that plastic or sticker off. With a little help, you can easily remove the plastic, stickers and any adhesive residue.

Instructions

    • 1

Unpack your new microwave and peel the plastic from the door.

    • 2

Peel off the feature sticker from the front of the microwave, if it will come off. Many times it will not completely come off without using a cleaner.

    • 3

Apply some Goo Gone onto the adhesive and let it sit for a few minutes, then just wipe or scrape it gently away. This works very well.

    • 4

Clean the area with a clean, wet cloth. If this does not get it all, then continue on.

    • 5

Soak a sponge or a cloth in vinegar and let it sit on the area for a few minutes.

    • 6

Remove the sponge or cloth and wipe away any adhesive.

    • 7

Wipe the surface with a clean, wet cloth.
