How to Install Regent MS80 Motion Lights

The Regent MS80 Motion Lights are easy to install and come with adjustable light levels, adjustable detection range, and a 120-degree motion sensor. This guide will walk you through the steps on how to install your MS80 Motion Lights:

Step 1: Gather your tools and materials. ###

- MS80 motion light

- Phillips screwdriver

- Flat-head screwdriver

- Wire stripper

- Drill with a 3/8-inch drill bit

- Level

- Pencil

- Safety glasses

- Gloves

Step 2: Turn off the power. ###

Before you begin, make sure that the power to the area where you will be installing the motion light is turned off. You can do this by flipping the circuit breaker to the "Off" position or by unplugging the power cord from the outlet.

Step 3: Mount the motion light bracket. ###

- Mount the provided mounting bracket to an outside wall using the included screws and anchors. Use the level to ensure the bracket is level before tightening the screws.

- Make sure the provided mounting holes on the back of the motion light are aligned with the slots on the bracket.

- Position the bracket so the bottom edge is about 7-8 feet off the ground.

- Insert the screws provided into the slots in the bracket and hand tighten until the motion light is snugly secured against the wall.

- Ensure the motion light is firmly and securely mounted.

- Level the light fixture as needed.

Step 4: Connect the wires. ###

- Remove the cover from the junction box of the MS80 motion light using the provided screwdriver.

- Use a wire stripper to strip the ends of the wires on the light and the power supply wires from the wall.

- Match the white wires and twist the ends together.

- Twist the black wires and red wire from the light together. Twist the black wire from the power supply to these as well.

- Use the provided wire nuts to secure the connections and cap them off.

- Tuck the wires neatly into the junction box.

- Replace the cover on the junction box.

Step 5: Adjust the light settings. ###

- Locate the two adjustable dials on the back of the motion light fixture.

- Turn the dials to the desired settings for light level, motion detection range, and time delay.

- These dials enable you to adjust light sensitivity and duration.

Step 6: Test the motion light. ###

- Turn on the power to the circuit that the motion light is connected to.

- Ensure that the light turns on and off properly when motion is detected.
