How to Remove a Grill From a GE

GE appliances, such as a refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher, have a grill cover that you can remove to make repairs on the appliance. The grill cover’s location may vary on the different types of appliances, but the removal instructions for the grill do not. Removing the grill will only take a few minutes and will allow you to make repairs to your GE appliance.

      Locate the retaining screws on your GE appliance’s grill. Depending on the appliance, you may need to open the door for a refrigerator or microwave to expose the screws.

      Unscrew the retaining screws along the grill by using a Phillips screwdriver.

      Pull the grill cover off from the appliance by pulling it toward you.
