How to Remove a Parker Doorknob Plate Spindle Rod

* Hammer

1. Remove the screws that hold the doorknob plate in place. There will be two screws on either side of the plate.

2. Once the screws are removed, gently pry the doorknob plate off of the door. Be careful not to damage the door or the plate.

3. Use the pliers to grip the spindle rod and turn it counterclockwise until it is removed from the door.

4. If the spindle rod is stuck, you may need to use a hammer to tap it out of place. Be careful not to damage the door or the spindle rod.

5. Once the spindle rod is removed, you can replace it with a new one. To do this, simply insert the new spindle rod into the hole in the door and turn it clockwise until it is secure.

6. Replace the doorknob plate and secure it with the screws.
